SOLO TRAVELING
One is not the loneliest number
WHY SOLO?
Maybe your friends schedules don't seem to line up. Maybe you have a dream destination you can't talk your family into going to. Maybe you just want some time to yourself. Whatever the motivation, solo travel can be enticing but also a little daunting. If you are considering a solo travel, here are a few things we will discuss when planning your trip.
SOLO OPTIONS
There are plenty of group travel and excursion options available for those that still want to be a part of a group. There are several different tours that are designed with specific demographics in mind including solo travel, specific age groups, activities, and budget types. Cruise lines are even joining in by adding solo staterooms to their ships and some offer solo traveler meet ups. Of course, you may want to be completely on your own. Many trips can be crafted just for you to enjoy on your own.
THINGS TO CONSIDER
Your budget: While there are plenty of options for solo travelers, keep in mind some companies may charge a single supplement fee. This can be as much as 100% of the single person fee. Other companies may have you share a room with another member of the group.
Type of trip: How much time would you like on your own vs group travel? Would it bother you if you ended up with a private tour? Also consider the type of group you are interested in or if you want to be on your own.

WHOSE IN YOUR GROUP?
Your kids are grown, you got your friends together, or maybe you are looking for a romantic getaway. No matter the type of trip you are planning, you are looking for places that cater to adults. Whether you are looking for adult only experiences or how to experience family friendly locations as an adult, here are a few things we can discuss when planning your trip.
ADULT FOCUSED OPTIONS
There are plenty of resorts, cruises, and tour companies that cater to adult only travelers. You may be surprised to find excursions that have adult only options or age limits for adult focused activities such as wine tastings. Some attractions may even mark certain nights or evening hours for adults only.
You may also be a big kid and enjoy those family friendly spaces, but want adult spaces to escape to. Many family oriented destinations, like Disney, also recognize many adults love their destination too. These resorts and cruise lines will offer adult only spaces such as pools, lounges, spas, and restaurants.
THINGS TO CONSIDER
While many companies cater to adult only, some companies only allow specific age groups. These can very greatly from young adults to retirees. These are excellent options if you are looking to join people in your groups age.
While some companies welcome all ages, they may advertise to specific demographics. When you work with me, we will find the right companies that cater to your group and style.
Some resort and cruise adult only spaces may have specific times where kids are allowed, such as daytime hours at lounges or restaurants. I will help you identify any of these times, so you won't be surprised.

CRUISING, not just a Caribbean escape
Galápagos Islands, Ecuador
WHERE CAN I CRUISE?
We are all familiar with commercials of those mega ships with ice skating, water parks, and multiple dining options that take you to their private island in the Bahamas or Caribbean. The Bahamas and the Caribbean are very large markets for cruising, but did you know that cruise ships go to every continent! Not all cruise ships are of the mega ship variety either. Their are plenty of options of cruise ships to fit your style. Here are a few things we can discuss when planning your trip.
CRUISING OPTIONS AND CONSIDERATIONS
Wherever you are considering traveling to, there is likely a cruising option. Cruising can offer an easy way to visit multiple sites in one trip without having to unpack your bags. Cruising can also allow access to otherwise difficult to reach places.
Cruise ships have a wide variety of sizes and types. Whether you are looking for a small ship, a megaship, budget friendly, or luxury, there are several options to consider for your cruise vacation.
When considering a cruise a few things to think about:
-
Cruises offer highlights of multiple ports, so you will have to plan your time.
-
Deciding what kind of ship you would like to go on?
-
Deciding if the ship is most important or destinations
-
How long do you want your cruise?
When you work with me, I will walk you through all of these questions on more to help you decide if a cruise is the right option for your vacation.
