My Travel Bucket list
I'm the "I haven't been there yet, but it is on my list" kinda traveler. My bucket list is every changing as I check things off and sometimes just reshuffle as I learn about new places. Here are a few things that are on my list.
Mexico City
North America list
Mexico City, and Mexico in general, is more of a recent add to my list. I've been drawn to the vibrant life of the city with the food, history, and culture. I think I was really sold on the idea imaging doing a street food tour followed by going to a lucha libre match.
On my list. Street food tour, lucha libre match, touring Frida Kahlo museum, and visiting the Teotihuacán pyramids
Things I need to consider
Flights to Mexico city from the US are plentiful and relatively short compared to other international cities.
Finding accommodations in tourist neighborhoods with easy access to transportation.
Determining whether booking a tour or doing something on my own are better options.
Where it lands on my list. This is easily the top spot for North America, but falls somewhere in my top 5 for all time list.

South Africa
Outside North America list
South Africa has been on my list for many years. The images of tented campsites in the bush, the vibrant city life of Cape Town, and beautiful landscapes have made this a one of my top spots.
On my list. A stay at a lodge near Kruger National Park. A few nights in Cape Town to go up Table Mountain, enjoy the seaside towns, see the penguin colony, and head out on an excursion to a vineyard.
Things I need to consider.
Getting there isn't easy. Nonstop flights from the US are limited to the cities of Atlanta and Newark to both Cape Town or Johannesburg. Washington DC also flies direct to Cape Town, but not Johannesburg. Other options would include connections in Europe. This will be a long travel time of at minimum of 20+ hours.
Accommodations can range from camping to luxury lodges. Costs can drastically vary, so determining the level of accommodation with a budget in mind.
Whether to book with a tour company or to put it together myself.
Where it currently lands on my list. This is currently spot #1 on my entire list,

Not every place that I have traveled do I consider a bucket list destination. I factor in how long a destination has been on my list of to go places, the difficulty in planning and saving for the trip., as well as the overall enthusiasm for traveling to a place.
